Modular Felted Backpack

The modular felted backpack is the first of the Hyphen Boy Designs Patterns. I saw a felted backpack that made in a solid entrelac pattern, and then I saw the modular shell motifs in a Horst Schultz book. It took me about ten seconds to see the two combined; the result, of course, is the modular shell felted backpack.

The pattern support link may be accessed with the password provided on the printed pattern (retailers: if you would like to see the supplemental pattern support page, please email me for the password). There are some really great pictures in the gallery, including some shots of the bag-bottoms, which are a really great surprise!

The pattern itself is 8 pages, printed on card stock, and provided in a clear sheet protector. Instructions are given for a 16 color version (pictured on the left), a five color version (pictured on the right), and a larger version. Any number of colors between 2 and 32 could be used with minor adjustments to the pattern.

You may also want to check out the Knit-A-Long (KAL) that Judy G started online. Her KAL blog is located at http://hyphenboymodularbag.blogspot.com/

Your felted backpack picture could be here. Just send me an email with a digital picture and as much identifying information (hopefully at least the yarn used).
